Definition:

Graphic organizers, from the words itself, are used to assist us to organize and conceptualize data or learning so that we better understand or know what they are.

Graphic organizers and their purpose:

  1. Venn diagram – is used to organize things to show the differences and similarities of the given concepts or ideas. It uses two or more overlapping circles.
  2. Concept mapaids to see the bigger picture of a concept which makes details easier to remember and understand.
  3. Flowchart – is used to define and show the steps using shapes to show the flow or sequence of ideas.
  4. Spider map – is used for brainstorming a single theme or topic for the learners or readers to organize their thoughts. From the name itself, it looks like a spider web.
